Cut 1/2 pound of the clear vegetable glycerin soap base, and place into a microwave-safe measuring glass. Microwave until liquified.

Cut 1/2 pound of the white vegetable glycerin soap base, and place into a microwave-safe measuring glass. Microwave until liquified.

Pour the soap into nine 2-ounce plastic containers. Immediately add soap colorant, mix, and set aside.

Once solid, pop out the 2-ounce colored clear glycerin soaps and cut them into small shards and slices.

Repeat with colored white glycerin soaps.

Assort colored soap shards to preference in 8-ounce plastic cups (to resemble the natural coloring of a crystal).

Melt 1/2 pound of the clear vegetable glycerin soap base, and pour 2 ounces of melted clear soap base over colored soap shards into each 8-ounce plastic cup.

Melt 1/2 pound of the white vegetable glycerin soap base, and pour 3 ounces of melted clear soap base over colored soap shards into each 8-ounce plastic cup.

Pour the remaining melted clear soap base until all the soap shards are covered. Microwave 8-ounce cups to melt the colors together (monitor and make sure plastic cup doesn't melt — use a oven mitt if necessary).

Refrigerate until solid, and use scissors to cut the soap out. Use a non-serrated knife to cut into crystal shape.

Enjoy your beautiful crystal soap — gift them to friends and family!
