Aimee Mullins is a model, actress, athlete, and philanthropist who's also worked as an intelligence analyst at The Pentagon. She's basically unstoppable. Born without fibulae, she had her lower legs removed and was told she'd never walk — but since then, she's set several records as the first amputee to compete in the NCAA. These days, Mullins rocks amazing sculptural prosthetics and sky-high heels. Bad. Ass.

Alek Wek
After fleeing Sudan with her family to escape the country's civil war, Alek Wek forged a modeling career that helped diversify fashion. Sure, her amazing outfits make her a style icon, but it's her incredible spirit that's probably her best asset — Wek has partnered over the years with several medical, children's, and refugee non-profit organizations to raise funds for people in need.

Beth Ditto
The Gossip singer, who's been outspoken about her health, financial struggles, sexuality, and body image, and has a crazy soulful voice that's been compared to Etta James' and style that's like if Klaus Nomi and She's So Unusual-era Cyndi Lauper had a baby, then bathed it in a tub of sequins. She's already collaborated on multiple showstopping clothing lines with retailer Evans, and is currently working on her own collection. We can't wait for it.
